The museum as a venue

Your concert in the museum

We get many requests from artists who would like to give their own concert in the museum hall. If it fits within our schedule, we are happy to give them the opportunity.

The music room is small, but the intimacy where the audience sits very close is appreciated by many musicians. There is room for just over 40 visitors. On stage, in addition to a pianist, there is room for two or three musicians, or a handful of singers.

Venue rental and any additional costs are paid in advance. All income from ticket sales then goes to the artists.

The museum can include the announcement of the concert in its publicity. The museum can also take care of the ticketsale (online). However, the artists themselves must provide good press releases and (royalty-free) photos.

Your event in the museum

It often happens, that people celebrate their birthday in the museum. But the museum salon is also available for other occasions, such as book or CD presentations, anniversaries, special meetings and small-scale corporate events including receptions.
The space is limited to a maximum of 48 people.

Coffee, tea or soft drinks can be served in the museum café. Catering can be provided. Catering provided by you is also possible.

The event can be framed with music from the museum instruments, as part of the presentation, e.g. as an introduction, intermezzo, or during a closing drink.

The museum can be rented during the day or in the evening. The rate depends very much on what you expect from us. For corporate events we charge a higher rate than for private events.
We are happy to discuss the desired formula for your event and the corresponding fee. For commercial events we charge slightly more than the above prices for musicians.

Preparatory concert for piano students

Occasionally a piano teacher holds a festive afternoon or evening for their own students and their families, playing rehearsed music by students on one of the grand pianos, while also playing music from one or more piano rolls from the collection, possibly from the even recorded by the composer. Further program details of course depend on the age and level of proficiency of the students. We will be happy to help you find a suitable program and, if necessary, we charge a reduced fee, because this type of concert fits in very well with the objectives of the museum.

Guided tours with music

Groups regularly visit the museum. In addition to a guided tour, it is possible to choose to do part of the visit in a concert setting, and repertoire requests can be discussed.

We have welcomed widely varying groups over the past years: schoolchildren, elderly people, business associates, clubs, music lovers, piano tuners, music students, people taking a Jordan tour... Almost without exception, visitors are pleasantly surprised by what the museum has to offer.
If desired, coffee and tea can be provided, or modest catering at additional cost.

Group daytime rate: 50 euro for the presentation (regardless of group size) plus 4 euro per visitor. For evenings (after 5 p.m.) a surcharge of 50 % applies.

Booking a group visit is best requested by email a few days before the group visit: info@pianolamuseum.online
